Teijin to Donate Medical Protective Equipment for Healthcare Professionals in India
Tokyo, Japan, August 4, 2021 --- Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group’s fibers and products converting company, announced today that its subsidiary company Teijin Frontier India Private Ltd will donate medical protective equipment to medical professionals to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in India. Beginning in September, equipment will be furnished to medical sites through iKure Techsoft Pvt Ltd., a medical IT services provider engaged in medical support activities, mainly in rural areas.
Medical protective equipment produced by Teijin Frontier that Teijin Frontier India plans to donate will include:
- 10,000 non-woven fabric masks
- 2,800 non-woven fabric medical gowns (overall protective apparel)
- 170,200 pairs of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) gloves
Going forward, in addition to this support activity in India, The Teijin Frontier Group will continue to contribute to the welfare of communities in Japan and worldwide.
