TEIJIN LIMITED ("Teijin "), the parent company of TEIJIN FRONTIER CO., LTD. ("the Company"), and Asahi Kasei Corporation ("Asahi Kasei") have signed a basic agreement regarding the business integration of the Company and Asahi Kasei's wholly-owned subsidiary, Asahi Kasei Advance Corporation ("Asahi Kasei Advance"), effective December 1, 2025. Under this agreement, Teijin and Asahi Kasei are to jointly invest in the newly integrated company after the effective date of the merger.

 This integration aims to complement the business foundations, sales networks and customer bases of both the Company and Asahi Kasei Advance, with the goal of achieving sustainable growth and maximizing corporate value. We intend to utilize the new value created by this business integration to provide benefits to our customers and society, contributing to more prosperous, safety and security lives for people.

■Future milestones
Ÿ  An announcement about the new company name resulting from the integration of the Company and Asahi Kasei Advance is planned for around spring 2026.
Ÿ  The effective date of the merger is planned to be October 1, 2026.
Ÿ  We will provide further updates as soon as the official schedule is determined.
